Planned and customized Tableau Desktop training based on use cases, sample datasets and a common subject matter area for students. These students will have previous Tableau Desktop training and/or experience.

The course will include initial meetings (zoom) to gain a clear understanding of the client, the subject area, gather use cases and define sample datasets. Followed by course plan preparation and delivery of classes (zoom).

Note: A brief Tableau Desktop introduction training can be developed.

o Introduction – get to know students

o Gather individual contact information

o Understand the client business

o Gather use cases (will have to determine how many use cases to address)

Training Plan Development

o Develop Tableau Workbooks using sample datasets

o Tableau Workbooks address use cases

o Detail key features/functionality used

o Develop a teaching plan

Training Session – Lecture

o This initial class will be to provide more of a lecture focusing on the Tableau Workbooks

o Will answer questions and gather input but stay focused on covering the content

o Provide copies of the Tableau Workbooks for the class

Interim

o After the initial Training Session allows some time for students to take what was learned

o At each student’s pace – not in a class

- Lab (there can be multiple labs)

o Class focused on hands-on

o Take questions

o Allow users to share their screen and show examples of questions/issues

o Address and “fix”
